NOW FEEL THE MELTEMI.
Every summer, a thermal wind called the Meltemi sweeps the Cyclades from the north. It blows 20 to 30 knots for days non stop. The water turns turquoise. No cloud in the sky. The islands are empty.
We chartered a 45ft catamaran to chase it. Eight people, seven days, six islands. Wake up, pump a kite, ride until your legs give out, fall asleep and go all over again in the next morning.
